Shattered Glass

Shattered Glass

Shattered glass, brought together

Hot lead dripped on broken edges

Fused

But not what it was

Stained glass

Each facet showing soul

Now more than plain

More than common

It is the shattering

The hot lead

The pieces held together

That has created what beauty that remains.

It is what it is.

Shattered, rebuilt, new.

There is no going back.

* I wrote this as I was going through the last dark valley, and it’s been of value to a few folks, so since this is going to be THAT kind of blog – I’m sharing.
